Thank you for visiting our website and welcome to our world. We have chosen to “buck the system” and conduct business in a new way – you might say “old school.” Allow me to introduce you to our philosophy.
Within the last 10 years, the flooring industry has seen enormous changes – some good for the end – user, but mostly not-so-good.
- Private labels & “ghost” manufacturers
- “Private label” flooring style names & “ghost manufacturers” are prevalent throughout the industry.
- These are used to mislead & confuse the customer & prevent comparison shopping. Our position is that if something is used to the detriment of the customer, don’t’ do it.” “Box” stores, chain stores, & cooperatives are thoroughly entrenched in the “private label” practice.
- We have elected to sell our products listed by the actual manufacturer & with the actual product name. Thru this practice yes – we will lose clients thru comparison shopping – and we’re fine with that. We do not always have the lowest prices – just straight communications with our potential & current clients.
- Independence
- Kaiser Corporation Floor Covering & Ceramic Tile, Inc. is a truly independent shop. We have found that by staying “solo”, we that own the business, don’t have to answer to or placate any manufacturer. Because our shop is not married to a select few manufacturers, the large amount of other manufacturers are comfortable with their relationship with us. What benefits our business is passed on to our clients.
- Hackers, Installers, & Craftsmen
- While some of our field personnel are subcontracted to complete our flooring applications, they are considered “part of the family” & considered close friends. This is possible because of their combined 153 years of flooring experience, their trustworthiness, & absolute quality applications – thus the title of “craftsmen.” All of our clients have had the horror project completed by a “hacker.” We’ve all seen them – “Have utility knife, will travel”. Our job superintendents process the experience and knowledge of a craftsman. Their help on the project is produced by installers – quality individuals with the work ethic & desire to become a craftsman.
Because we choose to use a select few subcontractors, we will never be a mega-company – & that is a perfect environment for us. Only bid what you can complete with a quality application.
So, to sum it up, we were fortunate enough to be taught by the most knowledgeable man in the industry at his time – Mr. Alfred Kaiser. Two principles were repeated by him to the extreme:
- "Don’t worry about the dollars. Do what ’s right and all else falls into place.”
- “It ain’t brain surgery.”
Our company was started with & will always conduct itself by these two principles. If they were good enough from him, they’re good enough for us!
